Join the Dakota Safety Network for an informative upcoming membership meeting focused on helping North Dakota employers strengthen workplace safety and employee well-being. This meeting will feature a presentation on the WSI Safety Incentive Programs and how they can be effectively used to reduce workplace injuries, increase employee involvement, and strengthen overall safety performance.
Attendees will also learn about the critical process of Incident Investigation. While our objective is always to prevent incidents from occurring, every event provides an opportunity to learn and improve.

September 2026 Membership Meeting

Industry Tour
Location: Falkirk Mine, 2801 1st St SW, Underwood, ND 58576
Tuesday September 22, 11:00- 2:00 (lunch provided)
Attendees will tour the North American Coal Falkirk Mine. Falkirk is a surface mining operation with some of the largest earth-moving equipment manufactured today. With an annual production of approximately 8 million tons of lignite coal, Falkirk provides fuel to generate low-cost electricity for 2/3 of rural Minnesota. With the help of Falkirk's 400 full-time employees, Falkirk stands as one of the safest mine operations in the coal industry. It is also through sound reclamation and environmental practices that Falkirk is able to return the land to a quality at or above pre-mining condition. In collaboration with power plant engineers, Falkirk continues to be a leader in developing clean, efficient and environmentally friendly coal technologies.
Attendees, please bring a hard hat and safety glasses for the tour.

May 2026 Membership Meeting

Location: Bismarck State College’s National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE)
Tuesday May 26th , 11:00 to 1:30 (lunch provided)
Meeting room location: NECE building 3rd floor, Room 335 (same room the 2025 Fall Safety Conference was held in). On map #18. Park in the parking lot North of the NECE building.
Attendees will tour the National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE) and & the new Advanced Technology Center (ATC) programs and lab spaces to gain an understanding of the industry related programs BSC offers. Programs & labs include: Industrial Automation & Robotics, Instrumentation and Control Technology, Power Process Technology, Electronics/Telecommunications Technology, etc. The tour will end with attendees getting to experience a totally immersive XR for VR virtual reality room.

March 2026 Membership Meeting
Join us for our March membership meeting hosted at the Basin Electric Power Cooperative (1717 E Interstate Ave)! This month we will be discussing the OSHA hazard communication standard, which includes requirements that every employer must know how to properly follow.
